Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

AiGigabit (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website https://aigigabit.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We are committed to full transparency regarding our data practices.

Who We Are

AiGigabit is an independent technology publication covering AI hardware, data centers, networking, and cloud computing. Our website address is https://aigigabit.com. For any privacy-related inquiries, contact us at contact@aigigabit.com.

What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the site and improve the reader experience:

  • Usage data — Pages visited, time on site, browser type, referring URL, and anonymized IP address.
  • Comments — If you leave a comment, we collect your name, email address, website URL, and the content of your message, along with your IP address and browser user agent string for spam detection purposes.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — Email address only, collected voluntarily when you subscribe.
  • Contact form submissions — Name, email address, and message content.

Comments

When you submit a comment, the data entered in the comment form — along with your IP address and browser user agent — is collected to help with spam detection. An anonymized string derived from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether a profile image is associated with it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Approved comments and their associated profile images are visible publicly on the site.

Media

If you upload images to AiGigabit (contributor or editorial roles), please ensure those images do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location metadata from images published on the site.

Cookies

This site uses cookies in the following circumstances:

  • Comment cookies — If you leave a comment and opt in, your name, email, and website are saved in cookies for one year so you do not need to re-enter them on your next visit.
  • Login cookies — If you log in, cookies store your authentication session for two days (or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”). These are removed when you log out.
  • Analytics cookies — We may use anonymized analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. No personally identifiable information is stored.
  • Affiliate cookies — When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may place a cookie on your browser to track purchases. See Amazon’s privacy policy for details.

You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain site functionality.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on AiGigabit may include embedded content such as videos, images, or interactive tools from third-party sources. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the originating website directly. These third-party sites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content — including if you are logged in to an account on their platform.

Third-Party Services

  • Amazon Associates — AiGigabit participates in the Amazon affiliate program. Amazon uses cookies to attribute purchases to affiliate links. See Amazon’s Privacy Policy for full details.
  • Google Analytics — We may use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled to understand traffic patterns. No personally identifiable data is sent to Google.
  • Gravatar — Commenter profile images are served via the Gravatar service operated by Automattic.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who assist in operating the website (hosting, analytics), under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law or in response to valid legal process.
  • If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email generated by WordPress.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comment data and metadata are retained indefinitely to allow automatic recognition and approval of follow-up comments. For registered users, personal profile information is stored for as long as the account remains active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access — You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — You can object to the processing of your data for certain purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@aigigabit.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Newsletter emails are processed through our email service provider. All data transfers comply with applicable data protection regulations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of AiGigabit after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
